Diana Brimblecombe Animal Rescue Centre

A sanctuary for unwanted, neglected and stray animals. Founded over 40 years ago by Diana Brimblecombe, who was awarded an MBE in 2001 for her work in this field.

A self funding operation for smaller animals, dogs, cats, rabbits, ferrets, chickens etc. Providing a modern, clean, loving shelter for the rescue animals, costing in excess of £150,000.00 per annum to run this 14 acre site and provide the animals with a safe, secure environment.

They need help in the shape of donations, subscriptions, legacies and also more practical help, such as giving fruit, vegetables, shredded paper or prizes for the tombola etc. They hold regular fund raising activities such as jumble sales to help increase their income. Also available is a CareShare scheme, which, should you participate in, either for yourself or as a gift for another, you would receive a newsletter quarterly giving updates of the amazing works.

If you feel you can support DBARC in anyway or would like further information, please visit their website:

Or, you can contact them on 0118 934 1122

You will need to contact the rescue centre to find out about their homing policy, many rescue centres perform home checks on adopters. Although we often help people find homes for their rabbits, we are not a rescue centre and have no facilities for taking rabbits in ourselves. If you own a rescue centre and would like us to feature it please send us your details.
