WEIRD AND WONDERFUL RABBIT HUTCHES…
I had a friend who converted her green house. She was so fed up of the children sending footballs and the like through the glass that she took all the glass out and completely re-upholstered the frame to make it wind and weather proof. But what are you doing with it I asked non-plussed. Wait and see was all she replied. The next time I visited it was finished.
It was a magnificent rabbit house. She’d painted the outside with scenes from Peter Rabbit and made a run out into the garden for an outside playpen the rabbits could come and go in at will. Her rabbits looked as pleased as punch with their new home. As word got round the neighbourhood people would knock on her door to ask if they could bring their children to have a look…
I am advised by her that second hand greenhouses are two a penny and a 6’x6’ aluminium greenhouse frame will cost around £130-150 new and are available at most DIY stores!
But what is the most unusual Rabbit house you’ve ever seen??? If you’ve a picture so much the better..

Hi there! Very nice blog with a lot of posts. I’ve never seen a green house made into a rabbit hutch, very interesting and unique. I would assume that a green house gives the rabbits plenty of room to play and run around. I’ve setup a blog of my own to inform people about what to look for when buying a hutch: http://rabbit-hutches-for-sale.org .
I keep my rabbits outside in a large two story hutch.. If I had a greenhouse that wasn’t being used I would probably try building some type of crazy creative hutch lol Although you can purchase an already used one for a fairly reasonable price, it might be worth it.. I would think that a greenhouse turned into a hutch would be great if you had several rabbits.. I only have one rabbit so his two story hutch is more than enough room.
Anyways, nice blog. Keep up the good work.
Take care!
