The Right Amount of Calcium Is…

Recently veterinarians have been advising lowering the intake of calcium to owners of rabbits suffering from urinary tract and bladder problems. However calcium is essential to the development of healthy bones and teeth. The minimum daily requirement for calcium of a medium sized rabbit is about 510 milligrams. This amount of calcium is contained in less than two ounces of commercial pellets or 1 cup of turnip greens… so caution should be taken when implementing such advice. Never cut calcium from the diet completely.

Agree or disagree???
