HAVE YOU EVER FOUND ABANDONED RABBITS??
If so are you sure they had been abandoned??? In the wild it is usual for a mother rabbit to spend many hours away from the nest – she does this to lead would be predators away from them. 
If you do come across apparently motherless rabbits in the wild then please take the time to check and double check that this is indeed the case before you take any action…
